X12M cold work mold steel offers high wear resistance, improved toughness, and stable hardening performance with a hardness of 58–60 HRC. Alloyed with molybdenum and vanadium, it features refined and uniform carbides, good hardenability, and low heat treatment distortion, making it suitable for large-section and complex cold work tooling. Typical applications include punching dies, trimming dies, flanging dies, deep drawing dies, circular saws, gauges, and thread rolling dies. Supplied as mold steel blocks with cut-to-size machining.
