1.2601 cold work mold steel provides high wear resistance, improved toughness, and stable hardening performance with a hardness of 58–60 HRC. Alloyed with molybdenum and vanadium, it offers refined carbide distribution, good hardenability, and low heat treatment distortion, making it suitable for large-section and complex cold work tooling. Common applications include punching dies, trimming dies, flanging dies, deep drawing dies, circular saws, gauges, and thread rolling dies. Supplied as mold steel blocks with cut-to-size machining.
