PC Plastic Mold Steels

PC plastic has poor flowability and requires a high molding temperature, which places strict demands on mold steel. S136 mold steel is a common choice due to its uniform hardness, excellent wear resistance, and outstanding rust resistance. After heat treatment, it reaches a hardness of HRC48–52 and can resist chemical corrosion that may occur during PC molding, ensuring mold surface quality and extending mold life.

NAK80 mold steel is also suitable for PC plastic molds. It offers excellent machinability and exceptional mirror polishing performance, enabling high surface gloss for PC plastic products. With moderate hardness, it can withstand the injection pressure of PC plastic effectively.
